Brought my 2009 G8 GT in to have Gil's swap out my AFM compensation mufflers with some J-Pipes I purchased from a performance shop. The tail end of the exhaust system was pretty severely corroded, so instead of bolting the J-pipe to the compromised exhaust pipe, they cut off the corroded section, fabricated a pipe to replace the cutout, and then welded in that and the J-Pipes. The end result looks very nice and clean, and the J-Pipes were very nicely aligned--certainly, a far better job than I would have done.
