I wrote a critical review, not due to the quality of the service, but because a part was replace without my authorization when I was sitting right in the waiting room. Within a day I received a call from Matt Brewster, a representative of the company, offering his apologies and suggesting compensation. I told him I received the part and it was installed in my car so I was not requesting any compensation. We had a lovely conversation and he was most gentlemanly. To my shock a few days later I received a check in the mail for the part, including the installation. I consider this to be going way above and beyond what needed to be done, but am very impressed with the integrity that was shown. After my initial disappointment I vowed to myself to never go back, but my faith has been restored and I will go to Gil's Garage in Burnt Hills again when I need servicing.
